Break the Fast
Today I started my day with a delicious bagel! I call it a-piece-of-art bagel. Not only is it a tasteful combination of textures, it also has a large spectrum of flavors! It's creamy, it's chewy, and it’s crunchy and grainy. Perfect for mornings because of its ability to wake you up and challenge you with all the components of this one tasty deliciousness.
What you need:
1 whole wheat bagel (toasted)
2 tbsp natural peanut butter (organic, with omega 3) or almond butter
1 tbsp pumpkin butter
1 tbsp fruit spread
(different from jelly- fruit spread has 1/3 the sugar)
2 tbsp of soy nuts + trail mix (crushed)
Toast the bagel, first spread it with peanut butter on both sides, next layer is pumpkin butter, followed by fruit spread and sprinkle with your crushed nuts.
I usually eat it with fruits on the side and to be perfectly honest, I do not finish the whole thing.
But its gooooood :))
Perfect with unsweetened tea or coffee.
Random thought:
I had to argue with myself today to get out from my nap to go work out. I wake up, the room is dark but it's still reasonably early (around 8 pm). I'm cozy. Reaaaaally cozy. Seriously though, I had to really battle myself to get up and go to the gym!
But I did it and was very happy with my small accomplishment.
After running a couple of miles and a series of sit-ups I feel much better!
So next time you're feeling lazy- ARGUE with yourself :))
